Ron Korcak is the retired Associate Director of the USDA Agricultural Research Service Beltsville Agricultural Research Center in Beltsville, Maryland. Prior to moving into science administration his research focused on soil chemistry, tree fruit and blueberry nutrition and utilization of industrial and agricultural byproducts including ways to incorporate pyrolysis. He is currently a Principal and Senior Scientist with Aqua Terra Science LLC which provides water quality science evaluation and guidance to policy makers in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed and beyond. He resides in New York City where he volunteers for the Central Park Conservancy and the American Museum of Natural History.
